How I Can Help

There's more than one way to move forward. What matters is choosing the right starting point.

You can read information online to tell you WHAT to do with your money. Coaching helps you decide HOW to do it, and it helps you understand WHY all your attempts before haven't worked and what success and follow-through feel like.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers about coaching, cost, fit, time, and how to begin, for clients in Houston and worldwide.

Coaching Basics

What is financial coaching and how is it different from the information I find online?

Financial coaching pairs practical money systems with behavior, habits, and support. Unlike generic online advice or one-size-fits-all tips, coaching focuses on how you follow through in real life, even when motivation fades or life gets busy. I won’t tell you to give up your favorite beverages, treats, or life’s pleasures, and I do not sell insurance, products, or give investment advice. The result is lasting change, confidence, and progress toward your goals.

What is the KAMAS Method™?

The KAMAS Method™ is the five-step framework behind every program I offer. It stands for Know, Align, Map, Accelerate, and Sustain. The steps run in order and each one builds on the one before it, which is why coaching follows a path instead of a list of tips. Individuals, couples, and business owners all work through the same five steps. What changes is where you start and how fast you move.

Who is coaching for?

Coaching is for anyone ready to take control of their finances, career, or personal goals and get a practical, results-driven plan that works in real life. Whether you’re just starting out, navigating a life transition, or scaling a business, coaching helps you make progress, see results, and move forward with confidence, without taking the joy out of life. You can still enjoy your favorite beverages, vacations, or treats while building control and momentum.

Do you work with businesses?

Yes! I work with small business owners, leaders, and teams who want to align business decisions with personal goals, optimize cash flow, and create sustainable systems. Every engagement is customized to your unique business and personal priorities.

How do sessions work?

Sessions are personalized, practical, and supportive. We discuss your goals, challenges, and opportunities, and walk away with actionable steps you can implement immediately. Most clients meet weekly or biweekly, depending on the program. We also celebrate wins along the way, no matter how small, because recognizing progress keeps momentum high.

How long does it take to see results?

Results vary, but clients often feel more clarity, control, and confidence after the first session. Structured programs, like the 90-Day Financial Freedom Jumpstart, provide a guided path so you can see measurable progress in weeks. Coaching is an investment in yourself, and your actions guide the speed of progress.

Do you sell financial products or give investment advice?

No. I do not sell insurance, investment products, or securities, and I do not give investment advice. I am a Certified Financial Coach with an M.Ed., not a CFP, a CPA, an attorney, or a registered investment adviser. Coaching covers behavior, cash flow, debt, savings, and the systems that keep all of it running. When a question needs a licensed professional, I will say so and work alongside the person you already trust.

Fit, Format, and Time

Do I need to be in a specific income range to work with you?

Not at all. Coaching is about making your money, time, and decisions work for you, regardless of income. Strategies are tailored to your situation, whether you’re just starting out or optimizing a more complex financial or business plan.

How is a financial coach different from a financial advisor?

An advisor manages money you have already accumulated. A coach changes how money moves through your life week to week. Advisors are licensed to recommend and sell investment products, and many of them want a minimum balance before they will take you on. I start wherever you are, with the paycheck, the spending, the debt, and the habits underneath all three. The two roles work well together. Clients who already have an advisor often find that advisor’s job gets easier once the money arriving is intentional.

Can I do this virtually or in person?

Absolutely! Sessions are held via Google Meet, making coaching convenient no matter where you are in the world. If you’re local and prefer to meet in person, I can accommodate. If you are not local and you’d like me to come to you, I’m open to that too (additional travel fee applies).

Is this just financial coaching?

Coaching with me is holistic. I also support clients with career growth, leadership development, and relationships, because every part of life affects the others. If your goals aren’t money-related, we’ll focus entirely on your priorities and create practical, actionable steps for your unique situation.

What if I don't know exactly what I need?

That’s exactly what a Gifted Strategy Session is for. We’ll uncover your priorities, clarify what’s holding you back, and map a clear, practical path forward so you always know your next step.

How much time will coaching take?

Most sessions run 60 minutes, scheduled to fit your life. Most clients pair weekly or biweekly sessions with small, actionable steps, making progress achievable without feeling overwhelming.

How is a financial coach different from an accountant?

An accountant reports on money that has already moved. A coach works on the decisions that move it. Your CPA files the return, keeps the books accurate, and tells you what last year looked like. My work is forward-looking and behavioral: what comes in, what stays, and what keeps getting in the way. For business owners I work alongside your CPA rather than in place of one, and tax questions stay with them.

How is coaching different from therapy?

Coaching is practical and forward-looking, and it does not treat mental health conditions. Money is emotional long before it is logical, so sessions do go into shame, avoidance, and the beliefs you grew up around. The difference is where the conversation lands. You leave with steps to take this week rather than a diagnosis. If something surfaces that belongs with a licensed therapist, I will tell you.

How Coaching is Different and Getting Started

How much does financial coaching cost?

There is no fixed price list, because there is no fixed program. What you pay depends on which path you take, how long we work together, and how much support you want between sessions. I share pricing during your Gifted Strategy Session, once I have seen your situation and confirmed coaching is the right fit for it. That first session is free and carries no obligation.

How do I get started?

The best way to start is by booking a Gifted Strategy Session. We’ll explore your goals, clarify your next steps, and create a plan designed specifically for you.

What areas do you serve?

I am based in Houston, Texas and work with clients worldwide. Sessions run on Google Meet, so your location does not decide whether coaching works for you. If you are in the Houston area and would rather meet in person, I can arrange that.

How is this different from other coaches or financial advisors?

Coaching with me is action-oriented, personalized, and results-driven. We don’t just talk about goals, we explore options, create plans, and provide ongoing support to help you follow through. I celebrate wins along the way, and coaching is free from product sales or investment advice so you can focus on what matters to you. Having a coach you can trust and connect with is a personal choice. You’ll have a relationship with me like no other person in your life.

How do I choose the right path for me?

It depends. Everyone has their own relationship with money and life experience. Your situation and goals determine the best path, and you won’t be expected to figure that out alone. I’ll support you every step of the way.

What if my partner and I fight about money?

That is one of the most common reasons couples book a session. Most money arguments are not really about the numbers. They are two people running different rules that neither of them ever said out loud. Sessions put you both in front of the same picture and end with decisions you made together, so the next conversation starts from an agreement instead of a scoreboard. You can come as a couple from the start, or bring your partner in once you have your own footing.

Can I automate my savings without giving up the things I enjoy?

Yes, and that is usually the point of automating it. Money that moves on a schedule never has to survive a decision, which takes willpower out of the equation. I will not ask you to give up your coffee, your vacations, or your treats. What matters gets funded first, and what is left is genuinely yours to spend without second-guessing it.

Straight talk, practical tools, and support that lasts

When I met Sharon, I was walking in self-doubt. I was a master at talking myself out of going for what I wanted. I struggled in relationships and reacted to everything! I couldn't even imagine creating goals, much less reaching them. Sharon as my coach was like having a cheerleader on my shoulder, whispering "you've got this" all the time because she allowed me the space to figure out what was missing and go for it.

Before working with Sharon, I was struggling with saving money and my spending was all over the place. Half the time, I didn't even know where my money was going or what I was spending. Working with Sharon has allowed me to create an emergency fund and set goals that are so meaningful to me that I don't waver or get distracted when it comes to my money anymore. She helped me understand my options without making me feel guilty or ashamed of my situation. In two short months, I had a solid plan for paying off my debt, including paying off my house early, saving thousands in interest, and an emergency fund.

I decided to pursue coaching because I was feeling stuck. Because of this, I realized I needed to talk to someone who could provide an unbiased perspective of the things I was experiencing, while also not being afraid to hold me accountable for my actions. My friends recommended therapy, but I knew it wouldn't be the right fit for me. It wasn't until I suggested to a friend that we become accountability partners and the prospect fell flat that I realized I needed to find a way to become accountable for myself and my own actions. As a result of this, I decided to take the step to invest in myself and work with Sharon.

I had the privilege of being coached by Sharon and I can say that she is an exceptional coach. She listens attentively and provides sincere advice, always with my best interests at heart. Her ability to ask the right questions helps you find your own answers and discover new paths. Sharon genuinely cares about helping you reach your goals, offering a supportive and friendly hand along the way. I highly recommend Sharon to anyone looking for guidance and growth.

Sharon, you have been instrumental in helping me see not only what is possible, but what was holding me back. You have helped me uncover what years (and you know, it has been years) of therapy didn't touch. For the first time, I have money left at the end of the month AND all my bills are paid. No interest is being given away to a credit card, and I finally feel like retirement will be an option. But that isn't the best part.

The best part about investing in a coach is how confident I am with my money now and even more confident in how I communicate and advocate for myself.
